Hello & welcome to AGU (AllGamedUp). Here is a brief introduction to what AGU is all about, & some of the guidelines that will govern us all.
Arky3000 & I, created this forum/site in the hopes of being able to attract a broad spectrum of gamers & users on all platforms of gaming from all around the globe. Maybe try & break down some of the international barriers that exist. Not only to cover the run of the mill gaming topics, but more fun topics aswell, & general intrests. As such, we have put in place a few catagories & forums with intro's, just so you know what they're all about.
Although at first glance, it may well appear that there are a lot of catagories & forums, this is how we want it to be. Seeing as this forum isn't only about gaming, but about gamers aswell. We decided to add lots of topics, that will hopefully encourage forum conversation & a homely feel for all members. Also, the fact that we feel the forum layout is visually interesting, with lots to see & grab attention.
Rules & guidelines for the forum?...
Well, we'll hope that common sense will prevail in this. As long as you can show some degree of respect for the forum, the OP's thread, & yourself, then there shouldn't be any major issues. While we know that threads can naturally wander off topic, & digress over time, we are perfectly happy to accept this. However, purposeful thread derailment, especially early on in the thread will be frowned upon & cleaned up (on a case by case basis).
Spam... Please don't do this. It's always been our opinion, that fun can be had on forums with out having to resort to spam & wildly random posts in an OP's thread. We have put in place a "Forum games & fun" forum, for just such a reason. You can also use the "Completely off-topic" forum to talk about anything at all you like. Moderation of these threads (in the completely off-topic forums, but not the forum games & fun) will be down the OP, so there is pretty much a free hand in there! lol. Admin staff will not moderate these threads, unless specifically asked to, by the OP (in a pm please?).
If you should find yourself having an issue with a fellow member, & it looks like WW3 is about to break loose, then PLEASE take it to pm's? Internet drama's serve no purpose, other than to reflect the forum & it's members in bad light. So, if the disagreement continues in the thread, ONE warning will be given. If not heeded, the thread will be locked. All thread warnings will be in a red font.
As this is a free forum, we are governed by certain rules by our provider, that MUST be obeyed. The two that are the most importent are, NO PORNOGRAPHY & NO RACISM. Just to clarify... while pics of nearly naked women are fine (no nips or minky tho please?), full blown, sweaty, explicit sex is a no no lol. While racial slurs are fine, as long as it's understood that the parties involved are good freinds & no offence is being taken, hateful & spitefull racial comments are not.
Like I said earlier on, I hope that common sense will prevail in most cases that i've mentioned above.
Finally... While many many things are open to discussion on the smooth running of AGU, please be aware, that the admins word is final. Once a decision has been made, please respect that decision? If you have any advice that you think might benifit our group, then please feel free to use the "Comments, Questions & Bugs" forum?
